Beena Pradhan finished her graduation from Bangalore University. Is a self-taught artist. Has held solo shows: 1998 – ANZ Grindlays Bank, Kolkata, 2001 – Chitrakoot Art Gallery, Kolkata and India Habitat Centre, Visual Arts Gallery, New Delhi. Has participated in-group shows in aid of The Spastic Society at Kolkata between 1994 and 1999. Has also participated in 2002 & 2003-Birla Academy Annual show, Kolkata and 2003-Annual show of the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. In 2003 she participated in the Oberoi Art Camp organised by Gallery Art Resource Trust and Gallery Beyond, Mumbai and “Kal Aaj aur Kal” a group show at the Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. She lives and works in Kolkata.
