Has participated in camps at New Delhi, Bangalore & Mumbai. He lives and works in Mumbai. STATEMENT When I begin a canvas, I stand in front of the white space with nothing in my mind. My mind is as blank as the canvas in front of me. From the moment I load my brush with colour and touch it to the canvas, everything begins to fall in line. Somewhere from deep within, the painting begins to take shape. What I believe in are human relationships: man-woman, brother – sister, the earth and the gods above, nature in full bloom; these are surfeit in my psyche and all my visions, paintings are about this. My childhood and youth was spent in the lush regions of Konkan. All the riches of that region, the colours, the people, the landscape and birds, are all there in reserves of my being. I paint what I see around me – the day to day coupled with my memories.
