Dilip Dhore was born in 1974 at Achalpur; district Amravati in the Maharashtra State. He completed B.F.A from Sir J.J.Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai in 1998. He has won the following awards: 1997 the Bhausaheb Deshmukh Art Academy & Annual Art Exhibition at Sir J.J.Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai; 2002 Bombay Art Society Mumbai; and 2001-2003 was awarded the National Scholarship by Ministry of HRD Govt of India. He has held solo shows: 2001 Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai; 2002 Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. He has participated in several group shows: 1997 Maharashtra State Art Exhibition, 1997 BDA Academy, Amravati at Jehangir Art Gallery, Independence India show at Birla Art Gallery, Mumbai, 1999, 98 SCZ Cultural Centre Nagpur, Bombay Art society Annual Exhibition Mumbai, Monsson Show at Y B Chavan Art Gallery Mumbai; 2001 OAK National Art Exhibition Pune, Holiday Inn Art Gallery Pune; 2002 Tao Art Gallery Mumbai. Currently lives and works in Mumbai.
