I believe that the work of art has to represent the present, the moment. Art is the sheer enjoyment of creativity as meditation. Abstraction, unlike figuration, does not impose rules and limitations on the viewer by forcing him to react to external appearance. The spectator is free to feel in the light of his sensations and experiences. The pure elements of painting - dots, lines, forms, colours as visual language led me to seek my self out in anonymity. By being anonymous, it is possible to attain the universal. I am convinced that every being returns to anonymity. The more individual something is, the more universal it becomes. The ultimate challenge to creativity is to experience this new dimensional energy, and to discover the mysterious unknown......Jin Sook Shinde, ExC Art Heritage 14, 1987
