SUNEEL MAMADAPUR (B.1975) born in Bijapur Karnataka, did his Diploma in Fine Arts, from KEN School of Art Bangalore in 1997, in 2000 Post Diploma in Graphics Arts in Faculty of Fine Arts M.S.University Baroda & in 2001-02 Post Experience Program (sponsored by Commonwealth Foundation) in Glasgow Print Studio, Scotland UK. Has received several grants and awards: 1997 Honorable award in 11th All India SCZC Centre Nagpur, Karnataka State Arts Lalit Kala Academy's 27th Annual Art exhibition award in Bangalore, 50 years of Art Independence Day exhibition award in Bijapur, All India Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) Karnataka State exhibition award; 1998 - Karnataka State Arts Lalit Kala Academy and Central Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi "A Special Art Exhibition" award in Bangalore, Bombay Art Society's 106th All India Annual Art Exhibition Award; 1999-2001 Human Resources Development Research Grant; 2001 Arnawaj Arts Foundation Scholarship & K.K.Hebber Art Foundation Scholarship Karnataka; 2002 45th National Academy Award, Lalit Kala Academy New Delhi; 2003 Camlin Art Foundation 5th Southern Region award. Selected for the Europe tour. Has been awarded National / International Fellowship in Art from the Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Junior Fellowship & in 2001-02 Commanwealth Arts & Crafts award. Has participated in several Art exhibitions from 1994 to 2003 in Lucknow, Nagpur, Rajasthan Art Biennale, Assam. He has also participated in International exhibitions from 2001 in Glascow UK, 2002 the Thi Pai International Art Biennial Japan, Glassgow Art Fair UK & 2004 International Bharath Bhavan Biennial Bhopal. Has had a solo show in 2002 at Gallery III in GLASSGOW UK sponsored by Common Wealth Foundation London. He has participated in several group shows from 1995 in Bangalore, Kolkata, New Delhi Kolhapur, & Baroda. He lives and works in Baroda.
