Born in 1964 finished her art education from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. STATEMENT: Lyrical, silent and contemplative that is how one can describe Seema's pure abstract paintings. She shows skill and sophistication in her chosen medium. Seema's pale and delicately crafted abstractions of soft whites, pale greens, blues and pinks are suffused with light, translucent and flowing. Often, the surface is broken with arabesques of linear forms and planes, which seem to quiver, inviting the viewer to lose oneself. With the use of stencils, very finely thinned-out oil and colour pencils, the young painter creates an illusion of meditative calm as expressed in the scroll-like paintings of the oriental Zen masters....
