Born in 1953 in Maharashtra, finished Diploma in Drawing & Painting from Sir J.J.School of Arts, Mumbai in 1978, in 1980 Post Diploma from M.S.University, Baroda & 1982-83 studied painting at the Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Beaux-Atrs and Print making under Prof S.W.Hayter Paris, France. Has won several awards and honours from Maharashtra State, Gujarat State, French Govt. He has held many solo exhibitions: 1982-Hall D'accueil Du Centre Albert Chatelet, Paris, 1993-LTG Art Gallery, Delhi, 1994 & 1997 Jehangir Art gallery, Mumbai & 1995,1997,1999 & 2002-Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai. Has participated in several group shows: 1982-Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, 1983-Maison International Theatre Du Rond Point, Paris, 1984-International Print Making exhibition, Taiwan, 1986-exhibited in the Indian Festival in USA, Contemporary Indian Print making exhibition at Finland, Yugoslavia, Portugal and Germany, 1987-3rd International Graphic Art exhibition, AFACS, Delhi, 1988-International Print making Biennial, Bhopal, 1989-Safdar Hashmi exhibition and Auction, Delhi, 1991-Triennale d'Estampes Petit format, de Chamalieres, France, 1992-17th International Independent exhibition of Prints at Japan, 1995-Art for Cry in Mumbai, 1996-97-Harmony show at Nehru Centre, 1998-Wilberding Collection of Contemporary Indian Art at NGMA, Mumbai, A Charity Auction of Contemporary Indian paintings by the Spastics Society of Tamilnadu, Chennai; 2002-Golden Jubilee Art exhibition organized by Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
