Shobha Ghare was born in 1951 at Guna (M.P) and studied drawing at the Royal Drawing Society London and Painting and Graphics from the Sir J.J.School of Arts, Mumbai in 1992. She has held solo exhibitions at Chemould Gallery, 2000 at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, Art Heritage, New Delhi, Calcutta, Bangalore, Bhopal, Indore and London. She has participated in various National and International Exhibitions including National Exhibitions like L.K.A. New Delhi, Bharat Bhavan Bienniel Bhopal, Graphicsn-Australia, International Small Graphics - Poland, Women for Wise, A Charity Auction of Art by Christie's Mumbai. Has participated in several group shows: Abstract Contemporary Indian Paintings, during the year 2000, New Delhi; "Legatee - The Sir J.J.School of Art Exhibition orgainised by the Fine Art Company, July 1999, Mumbai; 50 years of Independence, Bhopal 1997; Madhya Parva Exhibition, Bhopal 1998; Kargil Helpage Exhibition in Swaraj Bhavan, Bhopal, 1999; Participated in National Printing making Camp for Women Artist in Bhubaneshwar; Boat Sail Painting Camp in Patharad Village, Bank of Narbada river near Indore, Madhya Pradesh, 2000; Demonstration for Tribal Student Summer Camp in Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, 2000; 2002, Charity Auction conducted by Bowring's for Save The Children India, Mumbai; Shakti a group show of over 50 women painters for the Women's International Day 2002. Shobha Ghare lives and works at Bhopal.
