Shubha Gokhale

Born in 1959, did her Diploma in Drawing and Painting, Pune and G.D.Arts. She also studied drawing under the guidance of the late Shri Gopal Deuskar and Miniature Painting under Shri Sadashiv Gorakshakur. Has participated in major art shows: 1980-Monsoon show, Jehangir Art Gallery, One Man show at Muscat, 1991-Miniature Format Show at Bombay organised by Lalit Kala Akademi, Delhi, 1993-Group show at Jehangir Art Gallery, at Vadhera Art Gallery, Delhi, & The Nostalgia Collection at Hotel President, Berlin; 1995-solo show at Jehangir Art Gallery, 1996 to 1999-Miniature Format Show at Sans Tache, Mumbai; 1997-50 years of Independence at NGMA, Mumbai; 1998-a show by Sotheby's in aid of NAB at Hong Kong Bank; 1999-at Jamaat, & Harmony show, Mumbai; 2000-solo show at Vinyasa Art Gallery, Chennai, 2001 solo show at Jehangir & 2002 solos show in Pune at Studio S; 2003 show in Singapore at Gallerie Dauphine & 2004 at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. Has participated in a feature on Contemporary Indian Art shot by Rehman film International for telecast on Holland TV & 1997- programme Style was telecast on BBC featuring Mimi Format painting. Has participated in various Art Exhibitions such as the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition, Bombay Art Society Annual exhibitions, Art Society of India and Kala Mela organised by Lalit Kala Akademi. Shubha lives and works in Mumbai.
